But aftermarket auto parts help give even an old car a feeling of brand newness. That, plus custom auto parts allow us to change up the form and function of a car into something that more aligns with our own personality and tastes. Aftermarket auto parts also have the advantage of pushing the limits of what a stock car can do. With the right parts, a car with only 125hp can reach 175hp or even more. You just have to find the right car part for the job. Luckily for you, the market is filled with parts with which to do that with.

For this reason alone I implore every self-respecting and conscientious driver out there to install fresh mud flaps as soon as they can. They will be doing themselves and every other driver on the road out there a favor. No one wants to have water or snow or ice splashed onto their windshield; this is a recipe for disaster and can cause some serious accidents that you may be responsible for. If you want you can even get custom flaps that have logos of your favorite sports teams on them; much like other parts of the car you can easily customize them. I just ask that you use them.

“Hey. Nothing much. Just looking through this catalog for aftermarket auto parts.”

“Nice! You going to to upgrade your car?”

“That is the plan. I do not know what to get yet Speaking of which, you bought aftermarket accessories for your car, did you not?

“That I did. I got some new rims, a spoiler, a carbon fiber hood, and new head and tail lights. I am also thinking about getting a body kit for it in the future but not right now. I am saving up for an exhaust kit.”

“That is cool. Man, hearing you talk about it makes me want to get all of those things.”

“You should!”

“I do not even know where to start even though I want to get into car customizing.”

“Start small and see how you like it. For example, I started out with red brake pads to contrast with the black paint of my car. After that I installed the spoiler, and then everything else came along. See how I went up little by little?”

“Yeah.”

“Just start out with rims and new brake pads. You need new pads anyway, you might as well get something that looks cool.”

I think i will start out by changing the chassis a bit. This will include removing my old stock hood and replacing it with a carbon fiber hood with hood scoops; this will allow my car to “breathe” better, so to speak. That, and it will help reduce the overall weight of my car. After that I will put on some side skirts just to give it a more stylish look. Then I am going to add a spoiler to the back of my car. This will help me reduce buildup of wind resistance when I am trying to go fast on the road. And for better performance on the road I will install a whole new exhaust kit. Now how is that for improvement!

Besides making the car look sleeker on the road I also want it to perform better than it is now; and quite frankly, I want to make it perform better than the day I first drove it off the lot. Gotta love aftermarket auto parts!

Custom grilles, on the other hand, have that extra umph that is really hard to ignore. I remember being stopped at a light and seeing a 2011 Chevy Camaro with an awesome looking, shiny billet grille installed. Sitting in the middle was the large Chevy emblem and spreading horizontally upwards and away from the emblem was the grille. It might have seemed like a simple design but it was enough to catch my eye and keep it there until the green light made me bid farewell to the Chevy Camaro.

The trick is to find the grille that looks good on your car. I do not recommend you just slap any grille onto your car and think it will make an impression. It might make an impression, an especially bad one. Thankfully, there are a lot of options to choose from.

I can give it a new paint job, custom decals like car emblems – I especially like the Transformers‘ Decepticon emblem – and the like. There are other aspects of the car’s appearance I can change like installing a spoiler, which will not only change the look of the car but it’s overall performance as well. I can also install a carbon fiber hood which will help lower the car’s overall weight and allow more air to flow through the engine. Changing the body is also something I can do; I can do a complete overhaul of the body or I can just add side steps, mud flaps and such.

Besides these there are other aftermarket accessories I also use. One of the first things I change about a car is the shifter. A new shifter will add style and better responsiveness when shifting gears.

While customizing your car can be a very expensive hobby, it can also be a very gratifying one.

One of the best things about installing custom grilles is the feeling you get when you see the driver of the car in the other lane facing you eying your grille in respect or even envy. Now imagine yourself catching that person’s attention and smiling back, giving them the knowing eye. You just have to love that feeling!

Your grille need not be make-exclusive either. Grilles made for Cadillacs or Chevys can be switched or installed on other car makes as well. It is all about your own sense of style and what you want the front of your car to look like; nothing is going to stop you. From single-frame to honeycomb grilles, you will be able to find that distinct look for your vehicle that you have always wanted.

Before you step into your car, walk around to the front, thenj take some time to envision what your grille should look like.

Mostly found on sports cars, spoilers can be found for the front of the vehicle as well as for the rear. Spoilers can be made out of plastic, fiberglass, silicon, or very lightweight carbon fiber material. Front spoilers are found underneath the bumper and is used to reduce both the drag coefficient and lift. Rear spoilers are easily the most common spoilers sighted on cars all across the world. These car spoilers can create down-force and also reduces drag. For sports cars as well as passenger vehicles, the reduction in drag created by spoilers will increase fuel efficiency. This major benefit is one of the reasons why people choose to install spoilers on cars that are not even meant to race.

The disrupting of inefficient airflow is the primary reason why spoilers are popular. Sports racing enthusiasts see it as a way to improve not only the look of their car but make it more aerodynamic and faster. When looking for a simple option to upgrade your car, consider adding a car spoiler.

Car parts do not have to be about just the aesthetics either; there are many parts that will increase the performance of your vehicle. Putting the right spoiler on your vehicle can reduce unfavorable air movement across the body of your car. Swapping out your stock car’s hood with a carbon fiber model will certainly reduce the weight. And many of the carbon fiber hoods have scoops or vents that can effectively lower intake charge temperatures. This means longer lasting engine parts AND more power!

And these are only a fraction of aftermarket auto parts can do for you.
